2021 NUHOPE Walk Updates

We are excited for you to join us for the 2021 NUHOPE Suicide Awareness Walk this Saturday! Please read through the following important updates to prepare for the event (including COVID-19 safety information):

1. Location: Remember that this year's walk starts at the Ogden Amphitheater to provide us with more space for the program

2. Time: The walk and program begin at 11 a.m. this year, and you can pick up your T-shirts and visit booths starting at 10 a.m.

3. Check-In: We've streamlined the check-in process to be faster and minimize contact between walkers and volunteers for safety. When you arrive, please pull up your registration confirmation on your phone to show the volunteers the T-shirt sizes you ordered.

4. Pets: The Ogden Amphitheater prohibits pets, so they will not be permitted to attend this year's walk. Service animals specifically trained to aid a person with a disability are always welcome.

5. Dress for the Weather: Be sure to check the weather report before heading out for the walk.

Also, if you have friends or family who would appreciate the opportunity to join us Saturday, encourage them to join us by sharing our Facebook event!

For your safety and for the safety of everyone else participating:

  • We encourage everyone - regardless of vaccination status – to wear a mask during the event. This is especially important within the amphitheater and when you are in close proximity to other groups (like during check-in).

  • If you or someone in your household has tested positive for COVID-19 (or are experiencing symptoms), please stay home to avoid infecting others.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding during difficult times.
